NEGLIGENCE ALLEGED
MOTORIST FACES GRAVE CHARGE.

Auckland, May 19,
Arrested on Saturday, Andrew Smith, aged 38, a fish curer, of Australia, appeared in the Police Court before Mr Hunt, S.M., on a charge of negligently driving a motor car and thereby causing the death of William John Humby, aged 67, of Ponsonby.Accused wafc remanded for a week, bail being renewed in the sum of £l,OOO, self £5OO and one surety of £5OO. ,
