MOTOR VESSEL’S LIST
QUANTITY OF CARGO JETTISONED . EXCITING EXPERIENCE (United, Press Assn.—By Telegraph—Copyright) (Rec. 8 p.m.) Apia, April 15. The motor vessel Beulah (Captain Hart) arrived at Apia to-day and reports that a unique thrill was experienced three days out from San Francisco. At seven on the morning of April 25 the vessel suddenly listed to port and lay on her beam ends for 15 minutes. The deck cargo of five motor cars, • drums of oil -and kerosene and the ship’s motor boat shifted to port, and it was necessary to cut. the lashings to save the vessel. When the cargo was overboard the vessel righted, then swung over to starboard. She lay on her beam ends for several minutes, and was eventually righted due to the cargo being trimmed. No lives were lost.
