N.S.W. COAL DISPUTE
FAILURE OF CONFERENCE.
(United Press Assn.—By Telegraph—Copyright.)
(Rec. 11.45 p.m.) Sydney, May 1. The coal conference failed. Neither side stated why, but it is assumed that the miners’ delegates again rejected the suggestion of a wage cut. The owners are now preparing to throw open two, three or more of the important collieries to free labour.
