STRONG COMPETITION. (Rec. 10.10 p.m.) Sydney, February 5. At the wool sales 10,001 bales were offered and 9592 sold, in addition to 1022 privately. Very strong competition was in evidence from the Continent, Yorkshire and the United States. All the best features of the previous day’s sale were reproduced. Greasy Merino brought to 23} pence.
