JEWS IN AFRICA

PROTEST AGAINST IMMIGRATION BILL. Cape Town, February 4. The Customs conference between the Union and Northern and Southern Rhodesia, after perilous moments on Saturday, has now practically reached an agreement which will be sealed at to-morrow’s meetings. Jews throughout South Africa are protesting against the immigration quota Bill. Colonel Josiah Wedgwood, M.P., who is visiting the Union, addressed a meeting of Zionists at Cape Town, and denounced the Bill, urging the Jews to ."stand no nonsense.” The Press severely rebukes him for meddling in South African affairs and criticizing pending legislation.
