MEMORIAL UNVEILED
MAN WHO CAUSED WORLD WAR. (Rec. 6.30 p.m.) Serajevo, February 2. Fi«v. hundred Serbian patriots stood bareheaded for two minutes’ silence while the memorial to Princip was unveiled commemorating the murder of Archduke Francis on June 2, 1914. The ceremony otherwise was strictly private. There were no representatives of the Government or municipality present, but Nationalist Societies attended at the Serajevo Cathedral, where Requiem Mass was said for the repose of Princip’s soul. "INSUFFERABLE PROVOCATION.” (Rec. 6.30 p.m.) Berlin, February 2. The Deutsche Allgomoine Zeitung, condemning the unveiling, declares that . it shows definitely that Serbia approves of an outrage that is a monstrous and insufferable provocation. On June 28, 1914, Archduke Francis Ferdinand of Austria and his wife were shot at Serajevo by Gabriel Princip. As a result of the ensuing ultimatum sent by Austria to Serbia, who was alleged to have aided and abetted the crime, war was declarer! by Austria on July 28, 1914. thus setting the spark that fired the Great War.
