SERIOUS ACCIDENT

SPEEDING CAR OVERTURNS OY BEACH. FOUR YOUTHS INJURED (Per United Press Association.) Dunedin, February 3. A serious motor accident occurred on the Measley beach at Wangaloa yesterday afternoon. A car containing four youths aged from eighteen to twenty was travelling at a fast speed on the sand when a wheel struck a boulder and the car overturned three times. The injured are: Norman Begg, of the Milton Post Office staff, fractured skull and concussion. His condition is serious. William Condon, of the Milton Post Office staff, injured spine. His condition is serious. Theodore Kitching, of the National, Mortgage and Agency Company staff at Milton, concussion and contusions. George Legge, hairdresser’s assistant at Milton, general injuries and cuts. Begg, Condon and Kitching are now in the Balclutha Hospital. Legge was taken back to Milton. Condon comes from the Balfour district.
