All the Canterbury freezing works now are busier than usual at this time of the year, although they are not working at full capacity. It is expected that the boards will not be fully employed until the end of this month. The North Canterbury works started about the middle of last month, the South Canterbury works after Christmas. Recent wet weather has checked the lambs temporarily, but a good season is anticipated in all the Canterbury works.
