SNOW IN JAPAN
COMMUNICATIONS DISLOCATED. (Rec. 10.30 p.m.) Tokio, January 10. A prolonged snowfall is paralysing communications and railways in North Japan. Locomotives were derailed and trains snowbound in drifts reaching a depth of ten feet. Snow ploughs were unsuccessful in clearing the lines.
