STATE OF THE RIVERS. The state of Southland streams for fishing is reported by Messrs A. and W. Hamilton to be as follows: ' Oreti—ln good order. Aparima—Low and clear. Waiau—ln‘good order. Otapiri—ln good order. Makarewa —Slightly above normal. Mataura —Above normal and coloured with snow water. In splendid order at Nokomai. Otamita—ln good order. Mimihau and Wyndham—ln good order. Waikaia—Coloured with snow water.
