TENNIS MATCH. RIVERSDALE A v. BALFOUR A. (From Our Correspondent.) The Balfour team met and were defeated by the local team on Saturday. After an exciting day’s play Riversdale ran out the victors by 101 games to 95, the sets being 8-all. The weather was not all that could be desired. The following were the results, Riversdale names being mentioned first:— Ladies’ Singles: Mrs Pankhurst 7 v. Miss L. Grant 1; Miss Stanton 5 v. Mrs Wilson 7; Miss Wayte 7 v. Mrs Henderson 3; Mrs Stevenson 7 v. Miss J. Grant 6. Men’s Singles: Shallard 9 v. Savage 6; O'Brien 6 v. Squires 9; Pankhurst 7 v. O. Wilson 9; Ryan 5 v. R. Wilson 9. Combined Doubles: Mrs Pankhurst and Shallard 7 v. Miss L. Grant and Savage 6; Miss Stanton and O’Brien 4 v. Mrs Wilson and Squires 7; Miss Wayte and Pankhurst 4 v. Mrs Henderson and O. Wilson 7; Mrs Stevenson and Ryan 7 v. Miss J. Grant and R. Wilson 2. Ladies’ Doubles: Mrs Pankhurst and Miss Stanton 7 v. Miss Grant and Mrs Wilson 2; Miss Wayte and Mrs Stevenson 7 v.
