MR EDWARD SHORTT. SUCCESSOR TO MR T. P. O’CONNOR. Rugby, November 22. Mr Edward Shortt, former Home Secretary, has been appointed film censor in succession to the late Mr T. P. O’Connor. Mr Shortt represented Newcastle West as a Liberal from 1910 to 1922, and in addition to holding the office of Home Secretary in the Liberal Government, he was for one year Chief Secretary for Ireland.—British Official Wireless.
