FIRE IN SCHOOL

INCENDIARISM SUSPECTED. (Per United Press Association.) Christchurch, November 22. Damage to the extent of about £2OO was done by fire in the manual training department of the Sydenham School this morning. The fire was discovered by a policeman at half past two, and when the brigade arrived soon afterwards, the flames had a / good hold. As no one should have been in ' the building after five o’clock, and as the fire obviously started on the landing ®f the stairs where there was nothing that could have led to accidental or spontaneous 1 ignition, it is believed the fire was of incendiary origin.
