SOUTHLAND'S STREAMS

WEEK-END FISHING.

PROSPECTS GOOD.

The prospects last night seemed very promising for week-end fishing and the review following, supplied by Messrs A. and W. Hamilton’s Sports Depot, shows that the majority of the streams are in good order for fly-fishing. Reports received by them state that: The Mimihau is low and in good fly-fish-ing order. The Wyndham is low and in good flyfishing order. The Mataura. is slightly above normal and coloured with snow-water. The Otapiri and Lora are low.

The Oreti is in fair order for fly-fishing from above Benmore. The lower reaches are slightly discoloured with snow-water. The Aparima, the Waiau, and the Orawia are all in good order, while Lake Te Anau is also good at present.
