WORKERS INJURED

COMPENSATION CLAIMS SUCCEED. (Per United Press Association.) Wellington, July 19. The Arbitration Court awarded John Howard, of Napier, a tunnel worker, £lOOO, less 44 weeks’ compensation already paid, the nett total being £740, for injuries to the head received in the Kohemaori tunnel by falling from an overhead tramway. Alfred Crosscy, a labourer, who was injured on roadworks in the Wairarapa, obtained £250 compensation, while J. W. Rcynolds, a labourer, was awarded £261 for the loss of an eye.
