TROPICAL HYGIENE
RESEARCH IN LONDON.
Rugby, July 18. The Prince of Wales, in opening the new London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, said that in his travels he had witnessed an appalling loss of life and effort due to tropical diseases, and he had realized how great was the need of research in tropical medicine and hygiene. If the development of the work of the school was properly conceived and carried through, he foresaw the development of interest and a quickening of effort such as would lead to a steady decrease of preventable diseases, suffering and death.—British Official Wireless.
