EMPIRE PREFERENCES
REASSURING STATEMENT.
London, July 21
The political correspondent of the Sunday Times states that reassuring messages have been sent to the dominions in reference to Mr Snowden’s statement concerning the ending of preferences. It has been indicated indirectly that any interference .could only be in the distant future, and that on British revenue grounds alone there need be no anxiety that the preferences will be abolished. —Australian Press Association.
