THE SYDNEY OUTBREAK.

Wellington, July 20.

In reply to an urgent cablegram sent by the Minister of Health to the Australian health authorities inquiring concerning the extent of influenza in Sydney, a reassuring cablegram has been received from the Federal Health Officer to the effect that the outbreak of influenza in Sydney is in no way abnormal for this time of the year.
