HANDSOME LEGACIES

NELSON RESIDENT’S BEQUESTS.

Nelson, July 19.

Under the will of the late Jesse Ernest Hounsell, bookseller, of Nelson, the following legacies were bequeathed payable on the termination of certain prior interests: —Nelson Institute, Salvation Army, Royal New Zealand Society for the Health of Women and Children, St. Andrew’s Orphanage, Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Auckland Point School, Central School, Hampden Street School, each £100; to Nelson College Governors £5OO for the purpose of founding and establishing a scholarship at the Nelson Boys’ College and a similar amount for a scholarship for the Girls’ College., The residue of the estate is to be divided into two equal parts, one share for the Tahuna Sands Association should it be in existence at a certain time and the other share for the trustees of the Nelson Anglican Cathedral Fund.
