SOUTHERN CROSS
PROPOSED ATLANTIC FLIGHT.
WARNING AGAINST ATTEMPT.
Sydney, July 19.
Mr F. Stewart, chairman of Australian National Airways Limited, has communicated with Squadron-Leader Kingsford Smith and Flight-Lieutenant Ulm advising them not to attempt a flight over the Atlantic, which is hazardous, adding that the company is convinced that such an exploit is not needed as a test of the crew’s courage and airmanship which has already been established.—Australian Press Assnclaiinn.
