SIXTEEN KILLED
TRAIN CRASHES THROUGH BRIDGE. (Rec. 8.5 p.m.) New York, July 18. At Denver 16 persons were killed when the west-bound Rock Island train plunged off a bridge weakened by a storm near Stratton. One car containing 13 passengers was completely submerged and all save one were drowned, but scores were injured. Eight cars were derailed.—United Service.
