RIFLE SHOOTING

MATAURA CLUB. (From Our Correspondent.) The Mataura Defence Rifle Club held its final shoot on Monday, June 3, after a very successful season. 'There were some very exciting finishes especially for third place in the second round of the McCreath Cup, between C. Goodwin, J. A. Munro and F. Munro, who put on the possible in the shoot off followed by five successive bulls each, J. A- Munro winning. The championship is now won by J. A. Munro for the second year in succession, while C. Goodwin has been runner-up for four years in succession. The McCreath Cup resulted in Les Ross being first, J. A. Munro second, and C. Goodwin third.
