WELLINGTON LICENSING COMMITTEE. CONDUCT OF HOTELS SATISFACTORY. (Per United Press Association.) Wellington, June 4. • At the annual meeting of the Wellington Licensing Committee, the chairman, Mr E. Page, S.M., said the report of the police regarding the conduct of the hotels in the district was satisfactory. He referred to the necessity for adequate provision for fire escapes in hotels, especially wooden buildings, and stated that a representative of the building department of the City Council should accompanj’ the committee on its tours of inspection.
