LEAGUE COUNCIL
SIR A. CHAMBERLAIN’S POSITION. (Rec. 5.5 p.m.) London, June 1. It is understood that present indications are that Sjr Austen Chamberlain will attend the League Council at Madrid on June 10, probably going to Madrid on June 4 to attend a pre-Council committee meeting to consider the report of the sub-com-mit tee on minorities which recently met in London. Sir Austen Chamberlain’s chairmanship is the most important question of the Madrid agenda.—Australian Press Association—United Service.
