GIANT VERSUS BUFFALO

GRIM CONFLICT REVEALED. From Johannesburg news has been received of the discovery of fossilized bones of a giant man and beast, side by side, which conjure up in the imagination a deadly struggle in primitive ages, when human strength was often more than a match for animal power. The find was reported by roadmakers at Springbok Glats, north of Pretoria, and the bones were removed to the Transaval Museum, where a careful examination was made by experts. It was declared that the beast was a buffalo, estimated to have measured lift and there were indications that it had met with a violent death. Most probably man and beast had died together at the close of a struggle following a hunt, would be explained to him.
