GUILTY OF PERJURY

SENTENCED TO HARD LABOUR

(Per United Press Association.) Wellington, May 13. William Worsley, an ex-warder at the Porirua Mental Hospital, was sentenced to 12 months’ hard labour by Mr Justice Myers for perjury in connection with the recent trial of a warder for maltreating a patient. Mr Myers said such an offence struck at the very root of the administration of justice.
