ARBITRATORS’ AWARD
SOUTH TARANAKI TRANSACTION. PRICE AGREED ON. (Per United Press Association.) Hawera, May 11. The award of the Arbitrators who sat recently to determine the price to be paid by the South Taranaki Electric Power Board to the Hawera County Electric Lighting Company, Limited, for the whole of the latter’s undertaking was uplifted in Wellington this morning. The price fixed by the Arbitrators is £125,682. This sum includes the company’s stock in trade and tools. By agreement between the parties the company’s cash in hand, inscribed stock, and the book debts remain the property of the company. The Arbitrators fix the costs of their award at £1251 4/5 which is to be paid by the parties in equal shares.
