HEALTH EXCELLENT

MAUI POM ARE’S CREW

(I’er United Press Association.)

Wellington, April 20.

The Prime Minister stated to-day that a further report had come to hand from the Maui Pomare that the health of all on board the ship continued to be excellent. As the -vessel departed from Auckland on Monday last, and as the period of influenza incubation is forty-eight hours, it is evident there can now be no danger of infection being carried from New Zealand to the islands by means of the vessel. However reports will continue to be received daily from the ship and the. precautionary measures already-taken to safeguard the position will not in any way be relaxed.
