(Rec. 8.45 p.m.) Simla, April 22. Habibullah has issued a proclamation denouncing Amanullah as an unbeliever, heretic. and detainer of the Holy Book of the Ulema, who procured the assassination of his father and several other prominent people. The proclamation cites 26 heretical acts by Amanullah, who is accused of wasting millions of rupees on his European tour. Amanullah has issued a brief counterproclamation, asking whether the Afghans will consent to a menial water-carrier’s son ruling them—Australian Press Association —United Service.
