MABEL FACTORY
STAFF BALL HELD. On Wednesday night, April 17, the staff of the Mabel Factory held a very enjoyable ball. Visitors from Invercargill and surrounding districts helped materially to make the ball such a pronounced success; Excellent music was supplied by Duerden's Orchestra. Much credit is due to the staff, Messrs A. Adamson, E. Sinclair and H. Somerville, for the capable manner in which they carried out their duties. Some of those present were: Mesdames A. Robertson (apricot crepe-d<> chene with lace yoke), S. Ogilvie (pink taffetas), M. Ogilvie (shell pink embroidered voile), J. Somerville (delphinium blue crepe-de-chene), A. Magee (sea green silk), K. Scully (prune silk with tiny frills), M. Garvey (saxe . blue silk), May Garvey (flame taffetas), M. Duggan (gold taffetas and ninon), C..Cringle (pink georgette and tinsel trimming), V. Cringle (ivory taffetas), M. Hanning (navy blue silk), E. Hanning (blue silk net), ?I. Bragg (pink charmelaine), I. Marshall (pink voile), M. Leonard (lemon crepe-de-chene),. A. McLeod (navy blue crepe-de-chene), E. Hetherington (salmon pink crepe-de-chene), F.
