REMODELLED BUILDING AT STRATFORD.

(Per United Press Association.)

Stratford, April 19

The Hon. 11. Atmore, Minister of Education, to-day’ officially declared open the remodelled infant school. The building was previously very old-fashioned and was considered detrimental to the health of the children..

Facing the north the remodelled building has windows practically all along the front. There are windows from the class rooms to the corridor at the back and in the back of the building there are again numerous windows.

The Minister congratulated the board’s architect on his good work and said that the buildings he was designing were as good as any in the Dominion. The Minister will spend the weekend in Eltham and Hawera.
