OVERHEARD AT BRIDGE—THE HIT OF A LIFETIME. A rubber had just ended, and we were putting down our scores. All of a sudden Old John on my left pulled out of his pocket a mottled jade fountain pen and held it aloft, saying, “Lsn’t that a dandy pen, boys?” We agreed that it certainly looked a beauty, first one asked to try it, then another? In a few minutes we all tried it ; and my! how that pen did write. The game was quite forgotten for a while, John’s Sheaffer “Lifetime” pen • being the centre of attraction. Funny thing we had another game last week and I noticed three of the fellows had Sheaffer “Lifetime” Pens nestling in their waistcoat pockets. Perhaps it was a coincidence, but I don’t think so. Sheaffer Lifetime Pens are made in two sizes, 57/6 and 50/-, both guaranteed for the user’s life. Other Sheaffer pens from 25/-, Pencils from 7/6. Stationers or jewellers.
