KING AT BOGNOR
WEATHER WET AND COLD. RETURN TO LONDON IN MAY. Rugby, April 12. The King passed a good day. The weather was cold throughout the day at Bognor and rain fell. Consequently his Majesty did not go out into the grounds of Craigwell House at all, but spent the day sitting in his bedroom. This is the first time for over three weeks that his Majesty has not walked or sat in the grounds for some part of the day. It is reliably understood that there is a possibility that the need for the Regency has disappeared and that the King is well enough to leave Bognor and carry out the formalities of dissolving Parliament on May 10. His Majesty yesterday received Mr William King, who lives at Bognor and who used to be the captain’s bo’sun in H.M.S. Bacchante when King George was a midshipman in that ship. Mr King brought with him an old picture of the Bacchante and the log he had kept during his service with her, and these greatly interested his Majesty who presented the old sailor with a photograph of himself in Admiral's uniform.—British Official Wireless.
