SEARCH URGED

CAPTAIN ANDERSON LOST. POLICE ASSISTANCE SOUGHT. (Rec. 5.5 p.m.) Sydney, April 14. Mr Cantor, the backer of Captain Keith Anderson who left in the Kookooburra to participate in the search for the Southern Cross and has not reported since Wednesday, urges that measures should be taken to search for him. The Citizens’ Committee, which organized the fund for the search for the Southern Cross’s crew, informed Mr Cantor that it was unable to deal with the matter. A later message states that Captain Anderson's plane, Kookooburra, is still missing. Two Royal Air Force planes which have gone in search of her have not yet reported from Maree or Alice Springs. Private advices from Wave Hill indicate that there is no news. Police assistance for the search is being sought. —Australian Press Association.
