TITLED RANCHER

NEW EARL OF EGMONT. Ottawa, January 11. A message from Calgary states: F. J. T. Perceval, the new Earl of Egmont, has been farming in the Priddis district for several years. He is a widower and resides on his land holdings with a son, aged 14. Priddis is a remote hamlet, cut off from telephone communication at night. The new Earl is 55, and married Cecilia, daughter of James Burnsmoor, or Montreal, in 1911. His wife died in 1916. He states that he has no intention of dropping everything at the farm to take up the Earldom immediately. The new Earl said to-day that he will not take a seat in the House of Lords and will remain an Alberta rancher.—Australian Press Association.
