THEFT OF FROCKS
SALESWOMAN SENTENCED. Melbourne, December 21. Frocks valued at £l5OO were exhibited at the Criminal Court in Melbourne in a case against Mrs Elfreda Court, who was sentenced to six months’ imprisonment for having stolen them from a city warehouse where she was employed as saleswoman. Mrs Court said she had acquired 246 frocks for her wedding, but all had been bought from various sources, and not stolen. —Australian Press Association.
