ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the above asso ciation was held on the 14th instant, all the Southland Rowing Gubs being represented. The following office-bearers were elected: —President, Mr S. Shepherd; delegate to N.Z.A.R.A., Mr C. S. Eastwood; secretary and Treasurer, Mr A. D. Hamilton; selectors, Messrs W. Calder, G. Dickson and S, Shepherd; certifying committee, Messrs W. Calder. J. Joyce and A. E. Tall; representatives at regattas: Riverton, Mr H. R. Willcox; Bluff, Mr G. Dickson; Invercargill, Mr W. Calder; auditor, Mr R. N. Todd; emergenev committee, president, secretary and Mr A. E. Tall. The matter of the interprovincial race for the Edmond Shield was brought up and it was decided to ask the Otago Association to row the race at Bluff regatta. For some years past the local clubs have had considerable difficulty in obtaining boats from Edwards and Son, Melbourne, within reasonable time from placing the order. The Riverton delegates mentioned that they had to wait for four years for one of their orders and they considered that the New Zealand Association should do something in the matter. It was decided to approach the other associations in New Zealand and ask their support in requesting the New Zealand Association to import a shipment of boats from England if sufficient support could be given by rowing clubs.
