HEAVY TRADING

NEW YORK STOCK EXCHANGE. (Rec. 8.55 p.m.) New York, December 16. Securities listed on the New York Stock Exchange reached a total of 100 billion dollars. According to the exchange’s “bear” book, which was released to-day, there has been an increase of 15 billions since January 1, part of which is due to higher prices for listed securities and part to additional listings. The greatest single addition was the listing of 12 billion dollars in Governent bonds.
