LIQUOR IN ASHBURTON
QUESTION OF LICENSES. (Per United Press Association.) Christchurch, December 15. A well-known Christchurch lawyer says Ashburton is definitely “wet.” If it is not, the mid-Canterbury poll must have been void. Application will be made next year for a license for the Somerset Hotel, and plans are now out for its re-erection as a three-storied structure.
