BYRD’S EXPEDITION
RADIO TO CAPTAIN BROPHY. (Per United Press Association.) Wellington, December 14. Captain Brophy, second in command of the Byrd Expedition, has received the following radio from Commander Byrd Left the Bolling in Ross Sea. Expect her to arrive at Dunedin on December 21. He states that the coal mentioned in the cable message is that carried by the Eleanor Bolling which was to be transhipped by gear rigged on a towing hawser. Captain Brophy called on the Ministers of Marine and Railways and expressed appreciation of the facilities offered the expedition and especially complimented the Wellington Harbour valuable assistance given.
