PLUNKET SOCIETY
SUCCESSFUL CONCERT. FUNCTION AT RIVERSDALE. On Thursday evening a very successful concert was held in the Drill Hall, Riversdale, under the auspices of the Plunket Society. Seating accommodation was at a premium, and the audience showed its appreciation of the very fine entertainment in no uncertain manner. The following were the individual items: Solo, Mr R. L. Stevenson; solo, Miss F. Hinchey; solo, Mr Stanley Gordon; solo, Miss E. Watt; humorous sketches, Mr Charles McLeod; solo Mrs Duncan Stewart; solo, Mr C. Kelly; solo, Miss M. Jopp; solo, Mr Noel Derrett; duet, Miss F. Hinchey and Mr R. L. Stevenson; solo, Mr George Paterson. At the conclusion of the concert programme the chairman (Mr George Kerr) said that the concert was in aid of the Riversdale branch of the Plunket Society, and he congratulated the ladies of Riversdale and the surrounding district on forming a branch and carrying on the great work of the Society. The highest of praise was due to Mrs Gee, Mrs Macpherson and the committee for organizing the concert.
