NEW SOUTH WALES VICTORIOUS. Melbourne, December 9. Playing brilliant tennis Crawford (New South Wales) defeated Hopman in the final of the Victorian singles championships yesterday 5 —7, 6—2, 6 —3, 6—4. Crawford and Hopman easily won the men’s doubles championships defeating Dunlop and Donohue (New South Wales) 6—2, 6—l, 6—3. In the women’s singles championships Miss Cox (New South Wales) beat Mrs Harper (Victoria) 6 —B, 6 —l, 7—6. In the women’s doubles championships Mrs Conway and Miss Cox (New South Wales) beat Misses Mercer and Lemessurier (South Australia) 6—2, 6—2. Thus the New South Wales players carried all three finals before them.—Australian Press Association.
