PUBLIC NOTICE OF INTENTION TO MAKE A GENERAL RATE AND OF THE PROPORTIONS IT IS PROPOSED TO APPOINT ON THE SEVERAL CLASSES OF LAND IN THE RIVER DISTRICT. PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Waimatuku River Board intend at the meeting of the Board to be held on the Bth December, nineteen hundred and twenty-eight, to make and levy for the year commencing on the first day of April, nineteen hundred and twentyeight, and expiring on the thirty-first day of March, nineteen hundred and twentynine, a GENERAL RATE on a graduated scale according to the classification made by the Board of the rateable property within the Waimatuku River District and such rates shall be payable in one sum on the 4th day of January, nineteen hundred and twenty-nine. And PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby further given that the Valuation Roll of the district will be open for public inspection without fee at the office of the Board at King Street, Otautau, during usual office hours, namely 9 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. on Wednesdays and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on all other week days except when the said office is closed, and PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby further given that it is proposed that such rate shall be imposed upon the several classes of land in accordance with the said classification in the following proportions, namely:— Class (a) : One Penny in the £ of the rateable value on the basis of the capital value.
