A CLERK’S THEFTS
RECOMMENDED FOR GREATEST MERCY. (Per United Press Association.) Wellington, November 2. A clerk, George Ashton Ferguson, was found guilty in the Supreme Court to-day of stealing electrical goods, valued at £l4, from the National Electrical and Engineering Company Limited. The Jury recommended that the greatest mercy be extended to Ferguson because of the lax business methods of the firm. Sentence was deferred till Monday.
