For the Complexion
Most skins need an astringent occasionally, especially when age is creeping on with undesirable rapidity. Witch hazel is the finest astringent to be obtained for general use but for oily skins this one is stronger; 3oz of rosewater, loz of eau de cologne, 6 drops of tincture of benzoin. WHEN WASHING GLOVES. Chamois gloves, as you all know, should be dried without being rinsed. The soapier they are when wrung out the softer they dry. But the more delicate skins should be well rinsed after a wash in warm—not hot—water that has been lathered with good soap flakes. Stretch on the hand, and. if possible, dry in the open air. C’hamois gloves you rub when they are dry, but not the others. If you have dried them in a good shape they should be all ready to put on the hand.
