ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES
FATALLY INJURED. (Per United Press Association.) Auckland, October 15. E. Farmer, a resident of Parnell, died in hospital from injuries sustained while unloading a cased motor car last Wednesday. MOTOR CYCLIST KILLED. Thames, October 15: Keith Barnett Lockett, aged 23, an employee of the Public Works Department, was instantly killed when he was thrown from bis motor cycle while riding along the main road on Saturday evening. He was accompanied by another lad, E. Frost, who sustained concussion. The accident occurred near Hikutia at 6 p.m. A party of footballers returning to Thames found Frost wandering on the road in a dazed condition. Lockett was found lying dead with a crushed skull. Frost was brought to the Thames Hospital still unconscious. It is thought the back tyre of the cycle burst, causing the accident.
