FARM COLONY

GIVING A GOOD START. • Vancouver, August 22. More than 400,000 acres of good land in Alberta will be colonized by the Hudson’s Bay Company on the Clan Donald colony basis. A small area will be broken in each quarter section. In addition, sections will be fenced, wells drilled, and comfortable farm buildings erected. The intention is to have the entire colony of 250 families from Britain on the land before next spring, in time to harvest the first crop in 1929.
