BLUFF JUBILEE
LAST DAY TO-DAY, INTEREST WELL-MAINTAINED. The Bluff Jubilee celebrations were continued yesterday when the attendance at the Citizens’ Bazaar, which is being held in the new Town Hall exceeded that of the four previous evenings. An excellent programme of music, song and Maori numbers was submitted, the numerous items being received with applause and encores were frequent. Following is a list of prize-winners in the various competitions held:—J. Lyttle, A. W. Smiley, Mrs M. Dempster (all Invercargill), Miss M. Ross (Clifton), Mrs B. Brookes (Tuatapere), Messrs S. J. Hill, D. E. Gimblett, A. V. Waddell, G. A. Waddell, M. Lucas, R. Erasmussen, J. Moss, F. Darling, H. J. Norris, Misses Wesney, M. Dixon, K. Gooms and Mesdames J. S. A. McDougall, R. Harboard, D. McKenzie, T. Newlett, J. Cosgrove, W. Johnston, C. H. Parry and J. Torrance. The celebrations will conclude this evening when the finals of the tug-of-war competition will be pulled. In the afternoon a football match will be played, Old Timers v. Bluff Juniors.
