PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at a Special Meeting of the Southland County Council held on Friday the 13th day of July, 1928, the following resolution was passed by way of Special Order AND THAT the said resolution will be submitted for confirmation at an ordinary meeting of the said Council to be held at the Southland County Chambers, Clyde Street, Invercargill, on Friday, the 10th day of August, 1928, at 11 a.m.:— RESOLUTION. WHEREAS the Otaraia Road District Loan of £lOOO authorised to be raised by the Southland County Council by special order passed on the 7th day of April, 1914, and confirmed on the Bth day of May, 1914, became repayable on the Ist day of June, 1928, AND WHEREAS the Sinking Fund in respect of the said loan amounts to £602 10/9 AND WHEREAS the Council proposes to apply the said Sinking Fund in partial repayment of the said loan and to raise the sum of £397 9/3 to pay off the balance of the said loan NOW THEREFORE the Southland County Council in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926, and by any other Act HEREBY RESOLVES by way of Special Order to raise a Special Loan of Three Hundred and Ninety-seven Pounds Nine Shillings and Three Pence (£397 9/3 for the purpose of paying off part of the said loan of £lOOO which became repayable as aforesaid AND that the said loan of £397 9/3 shall be raised by the issue of three debentures of £lOO each and one debenture of £97 9/3 bearing interest at a rate not exceeding six per centum per annum and repayable on the Ist day of June, 1934, AND that there shall be a Sinking Fund with respect to the said Loan into which a sum pqual to £14.7 per centum of the amount of the said loan shall be paid in each year during the currency of the said loan.
