ACCOUNTANT STUDENTS
INVERCARGILL SOCIETY. The third lecture of the 1928 season was given in the society’s lecture room last even ing, when Mr J. G. Imlay, M.A., LLB., addressed a large attendance of members on the subject of “Trustee Law.” The audience was given a thorough explanation of the various classes of trusts and the meaning of the terms used in their description, the speaker making the lecture most interesting by illustrations of various judgments bearing on these points. The rights and duties of trustees were then given attention and the students gained much from this part of the lecture. Mr Imlay afterwards explained other points leading up to the subject, following questions asked by the members. A hearty vote of thanks was moved by Mr R. S. Mclnnes and was carried by acclamation. The next lecture will be given by Mr W. J. Tait on August 9, his subject being “Negotiable Instruments—Cheques.”
